1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Synergy Legal Services ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a paralegal services provider located at 443 N University Ave, Provo, UT 84601. By signing our client intake form, engaging our services, or otherwise accessing our services, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not engage our services.
2. Nature of Services — Important Disclaimer
2.1 What We Do
Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation and completion of legal documents and forms at the direction of the client
- Filing of documents with courts or government agencies on behalf of clients
- Researching legal information and providing general, publicly available legal information
- Organizing and maintaining case-related documents
- Assisting clients in understanding court procedures and form requirements
2.2 What We Do Not Do
We are explicitly prohibited from and do not provide:
- Legal advice tailored to your specific situation
- Attorney-client representation
- Court appearances on your behalf
- Interpretation of how the law applies to your individual circumstances
If you require legal advice or representation, you should consult a licensed Utah attorney. Synergy Legal Services is not responsible for any outcome resulting from your reliance on information provided through our services.
3. Client Responsibilities
By engaging our services, you agree to the following:
- You will provide accurate, complete, and truthful information necessary for us to perform our services.
- You are responsible for reviewing all documents we prepare on your behalf before signing or filing them. You acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to have any document reviewed by a licensed attorney of your choosing.
- You are responsible for all decisions regarding your legal matter. We act only under your explicit direction.
- You will notify us promptly of any changes to your contact information, case status, or other relevant circumstances.
- You are responsible for meeting all court deadlines, hearing dates, and other legal obligations. We are not responsible for missed deadlines.
- You will pay all applicable fees, court filing fees, and other costs associated with your matter.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Service Fees
Our fees for paralegal services will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the commencement of any work. Fees are based on the type and complexity of services requested. All fees are due as outlined in your service agreement or invoice.
4.2 Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless a separate written payment arrangement has been agreed upon. We accept payment by cash, check, and other methods as indicated at our office. Returned checks are subject to a returned check fee.
4.3 Refund Policy
Fees paid for services already performed are non-refundable. If work has not yet commenced on a matter, a refund may be considered at our sole discretion, minus any administrative fees incurred. All refund requests must be made in writing.
4.4 Court and Filing Fees
Court filing fees, government agency fees, and other third-party costs are the sole responsibility of the Client. These fees are separate from and in addition to our service fees. We will inform you of known fees in advance when possible, but we are not responsible for unexpected fee changes imposed by courts or agencies.
5. SMS / Text Message Communications
By providing your mobile phone number and consenting on our intake form, you agree to receive text messages from Synergy Legal Services related to your case, appointments, and service updates.

6. Confidentiality
We understand that the information you share with us in connection with your legal matter is sensitive. We will keep your information confidential and will not disclose it to any third parties except as required by law or as expressly authorized by you in writing.
Please be aware that paralegal-client communications do not carry the same attorney-client privilege protections as attorney-client communications under Utah law. We strongly recommend that you consult a licensed attorney for matters requiring privileged communications.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Synergy Legal Services, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to our services, including but not limited to:
- Adverse legal outcomes in your matter
- Errors in documents based on inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you
- Missed deadlines resulting from your failure to provide timely instructions or information
- Actions or decisions made by courts, government agencies, or opposing parties
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8. No Guarantee of Outcome
Synergy Legal Services makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the outcome of any legal matter. The preparation of documents and completion of forms does not guarantee approval, acceptance, or a favorable result by any court, agency, or other party. All services are provided on an as-is basis with respect to outcome.
9. Termination of Services
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time by providing written notice. Upon termination:
- You will be responsible for payment of all fees for services rendered up to the date of termination.
- We will provide you with copies of any documents we have prepared on your behalf.
- We reserve the right to withdraw from a matter if you provide false or misleading information, fail to cooperate, or request that we take any action that violates applicable law or ethical standards.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any disputes arising from your use of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Utah County, Utah, in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, unless both parties agree otherwise in writing. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website at utahsynergylegal.com or upon notice to you at our office. Your continued engagement of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed service agreement or intake form, constitute the entire agreement between you and Synergy Legal Services regarding our services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
